2026 CONFERENCE SESSIONS
One Bad Day - HOT
Duration - 8 hours
This program is designed to develop confident, efficient, and disciplined RIT operations through hands-on training and real-world problem solving. The curriculum emphasizes proactive rescue functions, decision-making under stress, and performance-driven tactics based on real fireground experiences. Students will leave with practical skills, improved situational awareness, and a deeper understanding of how to function effectively as firefighters operating in high-risk environments.
Hands-On Training Course Overview
This program follows a crawl, walk, run training methodology designed to progressively build skill, confidence, and performance. Students will first develop individual technical competencies during structured morning skill rotations. These skills are then integrated into realistic rescue scenarios during the afternoon practical evolutions. The goal is to bridge the gap between isolated skill development and true fireground application.
